Footing Design
Spread footing design will include both rectangular and square footings. The footing area is determined by the column load and allowable bearing pressure of the soil. Footing thickness is calculated to resist two-way and one-way shear.
Design will include:
- Footing size
- Footing thickness
- Steel sizes in both directions
- Mat designations

Continuous footings run underneath a wall(load bearing and non-load bearing). The load is uniform and the footing width is determined by allowable soil bearing capacity and the footing thickness is sized to resist shear stresses.
